Importing from CoinTracker
This page is a stub. The full guide is written against the shipped app version and is on its way.
Export your transactions from CoinTracker as CSV and choose the file under Import in the sidebar.
What happens. The preview reads the file and shows the arithmetic before anything joins your workspace, rows held, rows read, tax events created, differences itemised. Confirm it, and the transactions are in, with Undo one click away if the file was wrong.
What changes from CoinTracker. Your transactions come across, CoinTracker’s tax math does not, deliberately. The engine recomputes under the UK rules, section 104 pooling, same-day, and the 30-day rule, and shows its working per disposal with citations you can follow to the legislation. If the two tools disagree, the working paper makes the disagreement inspectable.
Complete history, then reconcile. Bring everything from your first crypto purchase onward, partial histories break pooling, and visit Reconcile before Reports for anything the engine flagged for your eyes. The reconciliation count page explains the row-to-event arithmetic that every import shows.
